![]() Communicating via a hummingbird drone, players navigate more of Jüngle's dangerous passageways and robots, as Kurt (and players) learn more of the world outside the facility. ![]() The next chapter introduces an organization called SPEAR, which seeks to undermine the robot autonomy of society and reinstate humans throughout various industries. ![]() Unfortunately, Kurt and Skew both veer off track and become trapped in a forbidden area of the facility. While the dialogue and gameplay may seem dull, Kurt's witty back-and-forth dialogue with Skew fills the silence and humanizes both characters. In the preview's first chapter, players navigate through Jüngle's delivery services and transport their "first" package. Since robots occupy most of Jüngle's workforce, the available levels feature a noticeably cold and distant atmosphere. The Last Worker's gameplay is a first-person adventure where players control a forklift operator in an otherwise automated facility. Despite working at the company for over 25 years, a malfunctioning assistant droid called Skew restarts his career from Day 1. Players control Kurt, the last human worker at Jüngle, a (not-so-subtle) dystopian parallel of Amazon. When humans and natural life are considered less valuable than machines who cannot make mistakes and don't need paychecks, organic life must face its inevitable obsolescence. The Last Worker focuses on humanity's uphill struggle against increasing automation in everyday life and the job market.
